Red Fox

What caught my eye: We were in Yellowstone looking for animals to photograph. This one was hard to spot through the falling snow and grass. His focus on some small rodent was intense, but his meal was delicious.

Shot On: Nikon Z8, with Nikkor 100-400mm, f/4.5-5.6

Camera Settings: 400 mm, f/8, 1/1250 sec, ISO 900

The fox hears us and is trying to determine where we are. We were in our “photo blind” unsuccessfully trying to not be heard scurrying around for cameras. He turned and disappeared over the hill.
