Ermine

What caught my eye: The flick of a black-tipped tail zipping in and out from under the garden shed was very entertaining. We watched our nearest neighbor hunting for mice. It ate the first one, but to our surprise, with a dead mouse in its mouth, he plowed nose first into the snow bank by the shed door. A fraction of a second later he pulled back depositing the mouse in his freezer.

He must have heard something up there to bother scampering up the wall. It was probably a bird.
